Caroline Kung
Managing Partner
Caroline Kung is the Managing Partner of SagePath Capital. With over 20 years of industry experience, she is an experienced investor with an extensive track record of executing private equity transactions and value creation at portfolio companies in business services, software, chemicals, healthcare, and retail. Previously, Caroline was a Managing Director at H.I.G. Capital. She has served on the boards of eight companies.
Earlier in her career, Caroline worked at GB Merchant Partners, a consumer/retail private equity firm, and Merrill Lynch in mergers & acquisitions. Caroline also has operating experience in planning and strategy for the luxury brand, Armani.
Caroline has an A.B. in Psychology and East Asian Studies from Harvard College, magna cum laude with highest honors, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She also has an MBA in International Luxury Brand Management from ESSEC Business School in France.
Laura Swearingen
Managing Director
Laura has spent the last 15 years working with and investing in companies in the software, healthcare, education, and business services sectors. Prior to SagePath, Laura was a Principal and Vice President at BV Investment Partners in Boston and Senior Associate at Riverside Company in Cleveland. She has served on the boards of five companies.
Before joining Riverside, Laura spent two years as an Associate in the Direct Investment Group at HarbourVest Partners in Boston, and she began her career as an investment banking Analyst at Wells Fargo Securities in Charlotte.
Laura received her BA in Economics from Davidson College and her MBA from the Wharton School of Business, where she was a Palmer Scholar.
Misha Levit
Vice President
Misha Levit brings a diverse background with over 6 years of expertise in the financial services sector. Prior to joining SagePath Capital, Mr. Levit was a Vice President of Private Equity at Abacus Investments where he played a pivotal role in leading the sourcing, due diligence, execution, and negotiations for transactions in healthcare and business services. Prior to Abacus, Misha worked with Merion Investment Partners, aiding in the execution of credit transactions. As an Associate at Ames Watson, a consumer & retail buyout firm focusing on value-based investments, he was instrumental in executing buyouts of retailers and leading various value creation initiatives at the portfolio company level.
Prior to his work in financial services, Misha had a career in software engineering, developing software for numerous hospital systems and working with companies like DXC Technology and Cognizant.
Misha holds an MBA with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Carnegie Mellon University, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Boston University.
